Key Art
Kipchoge
For The Ridley Scott Group and Universal, this poster was for Kipchoge, a documentary about the fastest marathon ever run. I was supplied with portrait photography which required retouching, and event photography including shots of Kipchoge himself, and other supporting runners which were composed to create scenes that depicted the day of the event.
The client wanted a simple and easy to read TT and tagline which used a punchy sans serif font.
The teacher
Key art produced in Quad and One Sheet dimensions, using only a single unit photograph. I recreated the scene in photoshop expanding the scene behind and foreground of destroyed building in order to allow the different orientations of the poster to be possible. The poster was also designed in a way that allowed extra space so awards and festival laurels, and publication quotes can be added.
The TT was designed in both Arabic and English as per the request of the client.
NO Woman No Try
No Woman No Try is a documentary about Women’s Rugby and the challenges it faces off the pitch as well as on it. The key art needed to champion cast members, but also show elements of the film. Using a negative space in Shaunagh Brown’s hair shows rugby on the mind. The deliberately untouched image leaving grass on the face is intended to keep an element of fight in the face of the rugby player.
The kay art was produced in One Sheet and Quad sizes. It was also rolled out across Amazon Prime, a very broad suite of assets was delivered in English, German and Japanese.
Wear The Rose
For the England Women’s Rugby team this key art was created for a documentary following the team through their approach to the World Cup in New Zealand. The Key Art was designed to hero key characters and squad members, by splitting the poster into a top and bottom using the title treatment in the centre, we could show 9 people.
The artwork was produced for use across OOH, social and DOOH.
